Salad with homemade croutons

The salad I made contained the usual lettuce, cucumber, carrots and green pepper; as well as celery, mushrooms, broccoli, parsley and onion. Cutting them in various fashions was easy for the most part except Julienne-ing turned out to be some what of a difficult task, since the carrots were wet. The green pepper turned out cool-looking, in round-ish shapes. to top the salad off, I sprinkled mozzarella cheese and homemade croutons on top. The croutons were delicious and easy to make. My sister loved them so much I think we will have croutons once a week for a while now. Overall, the salad was a success.

Brownies

These brownies contain unsweetened chocolate as a main ingredent. I melted the chocolate with crisco, the mixed it in with sugar, eggs and vanilla. After that was thoroghly mixed, I then added flour, which thickened up the batter tremendously (along with salt and baking powder). The recipe was pretty easy, and self explanitory. The brownies look delish. Mrs. Holtgrewe, if I am missing any info you would like to see, let me know.
